This is an original etching (plate marks visible) titled Ornament with Cimone and Pero, two Tritons or Cimon and Pero Flanked by Two Tritons by German printmaker Hans Sebald Beham. It depicts the classical story of "Roman Charity" (Caritas Romana).
The central image in the roundel shows a daughter, Pero, secretly breastfeeding her imprisoned father, Cimon, to save him from starvation. This story from Roman antiquity was regarded as an example of ultimate filial duty and self-sacrifice. The print is an etching on iron, created circa 1518/30, and signed with the artist's monogram inside the medallion. It belongs to a set of five prints representing the Five Senses.
